just because you dont want or need doesn't mean others lives wouldn't be greatly improved by the things you already have , like health care , housing , FOOD , i'm sick of the "i'm alright so screw you" attitude , especially when it comes from the religious , any religious person who does not practice what they preach should stop preaching

My state has a lot of high taxes people complain about butI don't mind paying because when I was down and out they supported a lot of programs that helped me immensely. I'm pretty much back on my feet because of that and have no problem supporting other people now by paying my taxes to help improve other people's lives

But you see people don't want others to have a better life. Even when that means they get screwed as well. That's the reality of so many peoples mindset in this world. They want their own kind starving, homeless, uneducated, unhealthy, and uncomfortable. That's their stance when they say people don't deserve to earn enough money. People like that literally do not want better for anyone including themselves and it's just sad and inhumane to be honest.

It seems like there is this mentality of "If I don't benefit from it directly, I don't care." I'm not sure how so many of these people grew up to be so selfish. These are the same people that earn six figure salaries and panic at having their taxes increased because they may not be able to afford to by a new car every other year or get the fashionable accessories to keep up with their friends. I've never tried to play the popularity contest with people because there is no point. You're letting other people dictate how you should live your life and you are constantly worried about what other people think of you. How is that a happy life?

I will vote for any politician that can lower my taxes regardless of how he/she might act or divide the country” I will never understand why people are like this. Or how to change that line of thinking. How about we demand change at the source (big pharma, college loans, etc.)that has put us where we are to begin with????
